The Kincaid Group and each of its divisions prides themselves on Four Core Values: Family, Safety, Service, and Respect.

Here is what each of our Four Core Values mean to us:

Family: Our foundational value, delivered through our commitment to caring about each person like they are a part of our family.

Safety: Our cornerstone commitment, safety is pursued in every aspect of our work through ongoing extensive training and attention to detail.

Service: Through transparency and integrity, we strive to provide service which exceeds expectations, as we build lasting relationships with our customers. In addition, we look to continually find ways to give our time, talent, and treasure in support of the communities in which we are located.

Respect: Simply put, as a company, we strive to follow the Golden Rule and treat every person the way we wish to be treated.

Rather than just talking about our Four Core Values, we practice what we preach and work to implement them. Each quarter of the year, we focus on one of our values. Here is how we have implemented them recently:

Family: We focused on Family in the fourth quarter of 2018. Employees were given Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week off, and offices were closed the entire week of Christmas as employees were encouraged to spend time with their families. We also worked to help local families that were in need during the holidays. Between our first ever “Stuff the Bus” event and our Christmas party canned food drive, we were able to donate over 200 toys, 30 articles of clothing, and 100 pounds of canned foods.

Safety: We are currently highlighting Safety this quarter, the second quarter of 2019. As with divisions in transportation, IT, security, and ready mix, safety is one of, if not the most important, things for us to focus on to provide the valuable service that our customers deserve. In addition to the current, ongoing training programs that each of our divisions put employees through, this quarter we will be highlighting best practices, rewarding employees who go above and beyond to help others learn and practice safety, and bringing in guest speakers to talk about workplace safety and workplace stress.

Service: We spent the third quarter of 2018 implementing our Service value. Employees raised money for a family who fell victim to a house fire, collected canned foods for local families in need, packed boxes at a food pantry, volunteered time at events, and much more. In total, $331 was raised, 240 boxes of food were packed, 389 pounds of canned food was collected, and employees volunteered at over 20 organizations in total.

Respect: We used the first quarter of 2019 to focus on Respect. During this quarter, Employee Suggestion Boxes were added to each of our divisions’ various locations. This was a way for employees to let their voices be heard in an effort to improve experiences for both customers and employees alike. These employee suggestions are reviewed by The Kincaid Group’s Management Team and a response to each suggestion is given in the monthly company newsletters.

We believe that by honoring these values, we will put ourselves in position to serve our customers to the best of our ability. In addition to helping with customer experiences, these values are also in place to enhance our employees’ everyday work lifestyle at their respective division of The Kincaid Group.
